The new Chevrolet Spark and Sonic will feature the GogoLink smartphone app that works in conjunction with the new Chevrolet MyLink technology. GogoLink delivers full-function navigation, which includes live traffic updates.

“GogoLink gives Spark and Sonic customers cloud-based navigation and live traffic alerts projected on the vehicle’s seven-inch, high-resolution touch screen for a great value,” said Cristi Landy, Chevrolet marketing director for small cars.

GogoLink was introduced to provide a safe and smarter way to access navigation. With a projected 90 percent of Spark and Sonic customers expected to have smartphones, GogoLink seemed like a perfect fit. The application will include: emergency information for police, fire and hospitals, thousands of points of interest, local search via google, Where am I? locator, live traffic functionality, crash reports, lane closures, alternative routes, 3D maps, ability to store native maps to your smartphone, and turn-by-turn directions even during low signal quality.

MyLink is standard among 1LT and 2LT versions of the Spark and the LTZ, LS, LT and RS Sonic. MyLink operates by combining information from the owner’s smartphone via Bluetooth or USB plug-in. This allows a safe way to not only access your smartphone while it’s safely stowed but also enjoy added benefits of using it in combination with the MyLink technology such as: personal playlists of stored music, hands-free calling, voice activation, ability to project video via USB while vehicle is parked, the ability to project a photo album in slideshow mode with background music, and of course the previously described navigation functions.

The application is simple to use and once the smartphone is plugged in to the MyLink system the options are all displayed on a touchscreen. Each menu selection then leads you to a clearly displayed list of functions such as: audio, pictures and movies, telephone, smartphone link, and settings.

The equipped Spark and Sonic models with also come with two additional apps that both Sonic Phoenix and Spark Phoenix drivers would appreciate: Pandora internet radio and Stitcher Smart Radio. Once owners connect their compatiable smartphones they will have access to these apps and other functions.

In addition to MyLink and GogoLink the Spark also features new technology such as StabiliTrak electronic stability control, and is the only car in its class with a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and features OnStar. The Sonic is performance oriented and is one of the only models in its class that offers a turbocharged engine, a 138-horsepower Ecotec 1.4L. The Sonic also features sport-tuned suspension and state-of-the-art exterior and interior materials.

The 2013 Chevy Traverse is similar to its previous models but did get a few updates and modifications.

On the outside of the car the hood is now domed and features a larger grille with the Chevy emblem in the middle. The headlights are reshaped and feature chrome accents. The backend and taillights of the Traverse have also been redesigned, and the license plate was moved to the liftgate. Overall the Traverse is longer than most cars in its class, which provides more interior volume.

The interior of the Traverse includes upgrades such as premium materials, softer surfaces, contrast stitching, new chrome and wood accents, and optional ambient lighting. The 2013 Traverse also includes Chevrolets MyLink which allows consumers to synch their smartphones or stream internet radio stations. If you fold down all the seats the Traverse has 116.4 cubic feet of volume, the most out of any of its direct competitors. Without folding down the seat there is still 24.4 cubic feet behind the third row. The first and second rows have a decent amount of space, and recline and slide backward and forward. The upgrades to the interior are apparent and help set the Traverse apart.

Under the hood a 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 281 horsepower. There is a standard six-speed automatic transmission that has been upgraded to shift swiftly and consistently. Front-wheel drive is standard but there is an optional all-wheel drive option. There is also an optional dual exhaust system that boosts power to 288 horsepower. The suspension system has also been upgraded from previous models. The Traverse has a combined city/highway EPA gas mileage of 19 mpg, regardless of front-or all-wheel drive. The Traverse also comes with a 5,200-pound towing capacity, which is one of the best in its class. The 2013 model overall has a refined ride, taking bumps with ease while keeping the cabin quiet.

Any Chevrolet Traverse Phoenix driver can also appreciate the impressive array of safety features. Including new safety options like a blind-spot warning system and cross-traffic alert. It also had top scores in all crash tests, making it a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Traverse also earned an excellent, five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2014 Impala design is here, and the only thing that is recognizable from previous models is the nameplate. Chevrolet rethought and redesigned every aspect of the Impala and produced a car with performance, style, and innovation.

“The momentum at Chevrolet continues to build with the debut of the 10th generation of the Impala, one of the brand’s most enduring and cherished nameplates,” says Chris Perry, vice president of Global Chevrolet Marketing. “The new Impala further strengthens Chevrolet’s passenger car lineup by giving consumers a full-size sedan that balances the desire for distinction with engaging driving dynamics.”

Arizona Chevrolet dealerships will have three engine choices available, all of which feature direct injection technology. The 303-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine is the most powerful choice. The 2.5-liter Ecotec four-cylinder option balances power and efficiency, producing 195 horsepower and 30 mpg highway. The final option is the most fuel efficient option and has a 182-horsepower 2.4-liter Ecotec engine with e-Assist hybrid system and an estimated 35 mpg highway. All three engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Chevrolet also stated that the car “will look much more expensive than it is priced,” with its chrome and wood accents and a more modern design. There are three trims available: the LS, LT, and LTZ. The redesign of the interior of the Impala really focused on pleasing the driver. There is noticeably more room and the instrument panels are extremely accessible. The large 8-inch color touch screen will feature Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system and an advanced touch-screen technology and natural voice recognition.

Chevy Impala Phoenix drivers can also look forward to new safety innovations such as full speed-range adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, forward collision alert, lane-departure warning, side blind-zone alert, and rear cross-traffic alerts. Chevrolet also incorporated an industry first, a center side airbag that inflates between seats in a side collision. The added airbag will ensure the passenger and driver don’t hit heads in an accident, and helps protect against the unexpected.

The 2014 Impala has been reinvented and now offers the balance of power and technology that drivers are looking for. Check out the new Impala spring of 2013 at your Chapman AZ Chevy dealer!
