If you are in the market for a new car, check out the 2014 Impala in Phoenix. The 2014 Chevy impala is an all new design from the ground up. The Impala is slightly larger in overall size which moves it from the midsize class to full size. Visit Chapman Chevrolet to see how the only thing the redesigned Impala shares with the previous model is its trim level designations. The 2014 model will still be offered in the base LS, mid-line LT, and high-end LTZ variations.

The latest Impala is known as a six-window sedan, which received an interior overhaul by designers who took inspiration from models in the past. However, they gave it a modern twist to stay competitive. When designing the Impala’s interior, the goal was to make it comfortable and spacious on the assumption that most customers make a connection with their new vehicle through what’s physically in front of them. According to Chevrolet, the features that are planned to offer include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, navigation system, rearview camera, cell-phone holder with inductive charging capability, adaptive cruise control, and rear-obstacle detection. Custom-looking features like twin-sleeve exhaust outlets and 20-inch wheels are featured prominently to keep the exterior sophisticated.

Under the hood, the 2014 Impala will offer three drivetrains; all of which include a 6-speed automatic transmission. One is a conventional 4-cylinder engine, another is a 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor, and lastly is a V6. Engine choices include a 195-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder; a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with battery-powered electric motor for a combined 182 horsepower; and a 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V6. The 2.4-liter version uses General Motors’ “eAssist” system that is intended to improve fuel economy by shutting off the motor off at a stop and instantly restarting it when the driver releases their foot from the brake pedal. EPA estimated fuel economy for the 2014 Chevrolet Impala is expected to achieve 35 mpg on the highway for eAssist models.

The 2014 Chevrolet Impala includes a standard complement of expected and federally mandated safety features. Additional safety measures will include blind-spot alert, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning, and collision mitigation braking.
