John Chapman, right, is presented with the Chevrolet Dealer of the Year Award from Pete Langenhorst, Chevrolet Western Region Zone Manager.

Being ranked No. 1 in sales, service and parts excellence in 2012 has earned Chapman Chevrolet the coveted “Dealer of the Year” Award from General Motors.

Less than 2% of dealerships across the US earn this distinction, notes Tim Mort, General Manager of Chapman Chevrolet. What this means for Phoenix Chevy customers is a continuous emphasis on quality – in all areas. The award is given on the basis of superior sales volume, high customer satisfaction ratings, parts efficiency and up-to-date quality facilities.

“This award reflects very positively on the entire dealership,” Mort explains. “Customers can be assured that Chapman Chevrolet is providing the best shopping, service and ownership experience available anywhere.”

Chevrolet Zone Manager Pete Langenhorst and District Sales Manager Roger O’Connor presented the award to John Chapman, President of Chapman Automotive Group during a barbeque held by General Motors for the dealership’s employees. In addition to an exquisite crystal trophy, a banner is displayed in the dealership to let customers know about this prestigious award. More important than the physical reminders are the personal reminders that every employee at the Phoenix Chevy dealer embody. From sales to service and everyone in-between, customers will be treated well and fairly.

“Chapman sets itself apart from other dealerships with its people,” Mort says. “We have a dedicated and committed team who truly care and treat others the way they would like to be treated. In a competitive business, that is the difference maker.”

Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system is one of the most comprehensive and modern dash units on the market. With Chevy MyLink, users can manage online services through apps, access Internet radio, access OnStar services, play videos and control music. MyLink has just been upgraded by adding Siri Eyes Free Integration to its repertoire of abilities. The new Chevy Sonic and Spark are the first to have this upgraded Siri Eyes Free technology.

Chevy’s marketing director for small cars, Cristi Landi said, “The Chevy Sonic and Spark are the first vehicles to offer Siri Eyes Free integration. Safe, easy, reliable and portable connectivity is a top priority for our customers, and Siri complements MyLink’s existing capabilities to help deliver an incredible driving experience.”

2013 Chevrolet Sparks and Sonics equipped with the MyLink infotainment system are available now at Chapman Chevy. Using the standard MyLink system on 2013 Sonics and Sparks, iPhone owners with an iPhone iOS 6 (or more recent model/operating system) can ask Siri to accomplish a wide variety of tasks. This is possible by connecting one’s iPhone to the MyLink infotainment system using Bluetooth. Once connected, a voice activation button on the steering wheel allows users to enter or exit Eyes Free mode. Once in Eyes Free mode: Siri can make voice-activated, eyes-and-hand-free calls, switch music sources between radio and iPod, choose songs from your iTunes library, compose and listen to texts, manage appointments and calendar dates, and does all this while keeping the iPhone screen from lighting up in order to preserve energy and prevent driver distractions for  Chevy Spark in Phoenix drivers.
